The 26th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting that was scheduled for June 21-26 in Kigali has been postponed until further notice as many member states continue to experience spikes in new #Covid19 cases and deaths.

According to the Common Wealth Secretariat, a new date for the #CHOGM2021 will be determined in due course but #Rwanda remains the host.

In a statement released by the Commonwealth Secretariat, ”We will continue to work closely with the Government of Rwanda as host government; with all member countries and the UK as Chair-in-Office of the Common Wealth, to ensure that we come to a satisfactory arrangement for the rescheduling of CHOGM in Kigali when the conditions allow for a safe, physical meeting to take place. We will ofcourse be in touch with you as soon as possible in this regard”
