Rwandair suspends flights to & from Mumbai due to increased Covid19 cases

Rwanda’s national carrier, RwandAir has announced its temporary suspension of its flights to and from India’s renowned city of Mumbai effective today May 1st due to increased Covid19 cases across India.

In a brief statement issued on the airlines website , Rwandair announced its move to temporarily suspend its usual operations to and from Mumbai India as Covid19 cases continue to raise across India and requests the affected passengers to consider re-booking their flights to a later date or request for travel vouchers that can be used in a given time or even request a refund as the official statement states.

Rwandair joins many more International and regional airlines that temporarily suspended their flight to and from India including their neighbor Kenya Airways that announced its suspension of regular passenger flights effective May 1st, 2021

India continues to struggle with worrying Covid19 numbers as it registered 412 fresh Covid deaths this Saturday, highest in a day while it recorded over 25,000 new cases with positivity rate 31.61 per cent
